Last week the entrepreneurs and community energy committees from across the SOGERV project came together for a week of knowledge sharing and capacity building.

The purpose of the business training was to give participants, with varying levels of business experience, the basic understanding and tools needed to make their businesses successful. It aimed to help the participants think about what it means to be an effective entrepreneur and how they can use the principles of entrepreneurship to enhance their business activities. The key training components were:

  1. Marketing
  2. Customer care
  3. Costing & pricing
  4. Record keeping

In addition to formal training, this event provided an opportunity for sharing of experiences and mentorship from some of the more established entrepreneurs.
